Longer Power Cable / Extension Cord

I am waiting on a new HDi65S to arrive, and am thinking about placement in my crawl space...

The ideal locaiton I think is about 25' from the closest electrical outlet, but I will try it in another spot to be sure.

But, I though an extension cord was a bad idea, but read on another post it was OK?
