What does the "drain" button do an an MP35?  The user guide does not reference it.  The unit has a pump.

Regarding the "DRAIN" button on the MP35 unit:

1. Long press function
Press and hold the "DRAIN" button for 3 seconds to switch the drainage mode (e.g., between gravity drain and pump drain). Since your unit has a built-in pump, this is the correct way to control or cycle the pump mode.

2. Combination button functions
The "DRAIN" button is also used together with other buttons to access diagnostic information:

Check coil temperature – Press and hold "SET" + "DRAIN" for 1 second to display the ambient temperature.

Check external temperature – Press and hold "DRAIN" + "GPP MODE" for 1 second to display the coil temperature.
