HS35 runs below humidity setting

Brand new HS35 set to 50%. Starting from a basement room humidity of 65%, humidity dropped to 39% and unit is still running. Temperature is 70F. Definitely drying air, just won't shut off automatically.

Based on your description and pictures, our engineers speculate that the humidity meter you used for testing is placed in the wrong position. We recommend that you place the humidity meter next to the humidity sensor of the machine for testing and comparison. Refer to the attached picture
