App stopped working. Showing the unit offline

Back to List

Ні,

I got the unit 2 days ago and setup was quick and easy.

Today, the app suddenly started showing the unit offline even though the unit was connected. I deleted and readded the unit via Bluetooth. It was successful and WiFi light is solid green however the app still shows it offline. Adding pictures for your reference. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Onur,  Please restart your dehumidifier and turn on the wifi button to try to reconnect

I am having the same issue. My Sentinel HDi65S was successfully connected to wifi for over a week. Suddenly I receive the same "faild" error message and cannot get the unit to show online status. I have tried multiple solutions, such as restarting the unit, power cycling the unit, re-comissioning the unit to wifi, and simply reinstalling the app. My unit has plenty of signal strength and is brand new. I may return the unit if Alorair doesn't provide a solution or explanation (as this could be a cloud-based issue), since integrating this product into my home automation ecosystem via wifi was a key motivation for my purchase.

Hello Onur, our engineers are working on this offline issue and we will give you a satisfactory response as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

I installed a new HD55S two days ago (8/13/2024) and the app stopped this morning.  I also restarted the unit and my phone and the AlorAir-C app with no change.  It was reporting only the outside humidity and temperature (based on my location), but that has also stopped.  And I cannot sign out of the app; the "Sign Out" button does nothing.  My WiFi and internet are fine.  It looks like a cloud issue.

I just bough HD55S and installed on 08/17/2024. I have the same issue the unit shows that it os connected to the Wi-Fi but the app shows that the unit is offline. I have exactly the same pictures as in the first post.

If it is an issue on Alorair site please provide the ETA the it will be resolved.

I have the exact same issue.  Unit delivered and installed 8/18/2024.  Connection to bluetooth and wifi was successful, but app shows unit is offline.  Exact same issue and pictures as first post.  Any update to the app yet?

I too have the same issues ass discribed above.  Installed 8/17/24 and shows offline.  My network shows the device is connected and has a strone gignal after testing.  But the unit will only show as "Offline",

Hello,

I am also having the same exact issue with the app showing the unit being offline. It happened yesterday morning and had been working well since I got it all set up at the end of July.  Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I have the same issue. My I two units are both in my crawl space and both offline but running based on my huge energy bill. I cannot easily access them or control them without the app and need this resolved in the next couple days before I go on vacation or I would like to understand how to return the devices. This functionality is the whole point of getting them!

I had a Storm LGR that was connected and working fine for months. Then a week ago, it went offline with a last connected date in the future. I unbound the device, re-added it to the app (successfully) and it is still showing "Offline"

Come on Alorair, you've got many people with offline devices obviously created by your own doing. You state that your engineers are "working on the issue" - can you just roll back whatever change you guys made and put it back to the way it was (working fine) ??

Hello,

I posted a couple of days ago regarding my app showing that it was offline.  This morning, when I woke up and checked the app it is now showing that is online.  Not sure how or why it happened but I'm just happy that it is working again.  I will come back again with any future news good or bad.  Hope everyone else's issue gets corrected like mine did.

Have a great day

I'm having a similar problem.  I installed an HDi65S in  my crawlspace on 8/21 and the wifi worked fine for a couple of days.  Today (8/24) the app would no longer connect.  Powering the unit on and off doesn't solve the problem.  Accessing the unit in the crawlspace is a chore, so reliability is important.  I'm disappointing that the app isn't more stable.

Here's another update.  This morning (8/25) the app is working again.  Thanks for getting the app back online..

Installed brand new Storm LGR Extreme in my basement on 11/6/24.  Powered it on and setup my AlorAir-R Lite app (Version 2.0.0) to connect to the dehumidifier.  Worked for maybe 16-24 hours then app notified me that it needed a firmware update.  Believe update was to version 3.0 something...not for sure...however agreed for it to upgrade/install and verified operation.  After the upgrade, I remember it updating partially.  By that, I mean some things showed status, but other items did not.  For example, the unit showed off, but was actually running.  I pressed the Purge button on app, and the unit started pumping the collected water.  I tried to modify the humidity setpoint from 50% to 45% on the app, and it would not work.  I was tired of messing with it, so I went to bed.  Today (11/8/24), the app has not worked at all...except the Outside RH and Temperature...which it collects from location and internet.

Like others on here I have done the following: 1) Cycled power to dehumidifier  2) Cycled power to my entire internet system and APs.  3) Disconnected and reconnected the app to dehumidifier multiple times (successful because it displayed serial number).  4) Rebooted phone (iOS current).  5) Removed app and reinstalled everything from scratch  6) Logged Out/In to account  7) Toggled the dehumidifier WiFi to ON then back OFF.  8) Validated app demonstrates same issues on second iOS device (will find/connect, but that's it).

I feel like something might have been triggered by AlorAir firmware upgrade.  Has anyone found resolve to this?

Now unit is starting to shut down on its own...showing E3 error.  Really...less than 30 hours total run time on this brand new unit.  Like other poster, I selected this unit because of its WiFi connectivity.  Was planning to purchase two more, but now am considering to return unless AlorAir can solve/replace quickly.
