Storm LGR Extreme Tripping GFCI

Back to List

This seems a common problem.  After 3 years of summer operation, the dehumidifier is tripping the GFCI outlet.  Is this covered under warranty?  I have tried different circuits, GFCI still trips.  I have tried a different power cord (I have 3 LGR Extreme dehumidifiers)  Or is life expectancy of a $700/machine just 3 years?  Support/help is appreciated.

Hi Richard,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Based on your description, please confirm whether the GFCI socket can handle the machine's current. If it does, the tripping might be due to damaged components in the machine. We recommend having a professional visit the site to analyze the problem. Alternatively, you can contact our customer service at support@alorair.com to arrange a return for after-sale analysis.
