Every dehumidifier needs proper usage and maintenance to support its long-lasting capability. Here are some safety tips for using and maintaining it:
· Before using it, keep it steady in an upright position for about 30 minutes to allow the refrigerant and other internal components to settle
· If the unit is newly delivered, let it settle for about 12 hours before using it
· Make sure that your desired area is well-sealed by either shutting all windows, vents or using other barriers
· It must be connected to a grounded electric source to avoid accidents and damage
· Make sure you have the right power supply to avoid electrical issues
· It is not suggestible to use an extension cord as well as a power adaptor
· Use the control panel or remote to set your desired level of humidity
· The surface in which it is set to operate must be leveled and steady
· Do not position the discharge and inlet onto a wall
· Never tamper with the internal components while the unit is running
· Always maintain a 6ft. distance from any form of obstruction
· Avoid deploying it in areas with a high amount of corrosive materials

Great unit in wet basement

This is a very good unit. Put it in my basement. There is no dehumidifier in the basement for more than a year and there are 2 leaking walls. So it is very humid, and it shows 83% when I set it. In 2 days, it dropped all the way to 45%. The feeling and smell are very different. I set it to drain to the floor drain, and I highly recommend this project. My basement is about 2,300 square feet.

Great! Our basement was flooded, mold began to grow, and the smell was unpleasant! We cleaned the basement and threw away the destroyed things, but it was still bad. So searched and found this basement dehumidification product. Comments are also very helpful. We got it and activated it within a few days. Within a few hours, all the odors disappeared and the basement was almost dry after 3 days.

It arrived on time and was well packed without damage. We let it sit for 24 hours and then use it as directed. Humidity drop

I purchased this product to reduce the humidity in our basement storage room, which has an outward door. Humidity causes mold. I got this unit and the initial reading was about 70%. It drops to 50% in a short time. The feel and smell of the room are better. The device comes with a drain pipe. So far so good. I would recommend this product based on the first three weeks of use.

I am very satisfied with this product. Recently, there was a water problem in my basement and I needed a reliable fast working machine. This unit pumps water out of the air so fast, so I connected a continuous drain hose to my sewage pump. Indeed, it did absorb about 90 pints of water from the air within 24 hours. Now that my basement is dry, I can rely on it to work well.

We purchased the dehumidifier and installed it in a crawl space with high humidity. Therefore, choosing a dehumidifier with a pump can keep running without having to manually empty the bucket. The dehumidifier is installed in a central location, and the (pump) hose is drained to the floor drain by connecting to the drain pipe. So far, it can perfectly keep the space dry, most of the time we are not close to the dehumidifier, so my evaluation of the noise level is not high. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase.

This is the second dehumidifier we have, wow, it is much better than the first. The pump works well and drains quietly and efficiently into a nearby bathroom sink. And easy to install and set up. We put it on the first floor and it does improve the air quality. We would definitely recommend this dehumidifier to anyone.

I bought it based on its capacity and the fact that it runs quietly. I have a medium-sized basement, but the humidity has been high since summer. We have just experienced heavy rain for a few weeks. You don’t need to do this at all. Because the HDi90 has a condensate pump, the condensate pump can pump the collected water out of the device through a pipe and discharge it to any place without gravity.
